The next Church Council meeting will be on Sunday, March 25, at 8:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Our Wednesday afterschool program will begin September 7. This year there will be a new choir designated for kindergarten and first grade children. The new group, named the Angel Choir, will be led by Cathey Trankovich assisted by JoAnn Heath, Ann Higginbotham, and Darla Roberson. The Music Makers, for second and third graders, will be led by Erin Smith and Angie Whitney. The Young Musicians for fourth, fifth, and sixth graders will be directed by Allison Gilliam, assisted by Samantha Terrell. Many parents know Mrs. Gilliam from their past experience with Young Musicians.

Permission slips, which must be signed and returned, will be sent home from school, granting permission for a child to ride the bus from school to the Wednesday afterschool program at the church. Choir activities for the children will follow a freshment and play time immediately after school.

At five o'clock, the groups will go into new activities. Bible drill, for first through sixth grades, led by Jean Wheatley and Mamie Johnston; and God's Kids, led by Lisa Hedges and JoAnn Heath, for Pre-K and Kindergarten. The boys and girls will be picked up at the back of the church at six o'clock. If parents prefer, they can eat supper with their children in the Fellowship Hall for a family donation of $10.
